First of all, teen guys don’t like to talk about their emotions while dating or anytime anywhere. In fact, the part of their brain where they feel emotion is not even connected very well to the part of their brain that handles language so they do not even have the ‘wiring’ to allow such a discussion. This does not mean guys don’t feel emotions, so don’t give up. Your BF may love you, but doesn’t express it in words. He might instead express it in the way he respects you, looks at you, or does things for you.
Love is not all cuddly and sweetness. Girls need to realize that for men, love is expressed a lot times by what a man sacrifices for a woman like sacrificing time at work or with friends. Most Boys like a being in control, and power struggles are key to their daily lives, so giving up power voluntarily choosing to do what she wants to do is a very strong sign of love. Boys just naturally aren’t that selfless, unless they really care for a woman.
Love is comfortable, which can lead us to complacency. But just because we are not acting in love doesn’t mean we are not.
Boy prefer directness, and confidence. If a woman wants a man, she should be very open and honest about it. There’s a scene in Conan the Destroyer where the young princess asks the female warrior how she should approach someone she like, and the warrior replies, ‘Grab him! Take him!
